Review Of The Toy Story 3

REVIEW: TOY STORY 3

Rating 4.5/5

Pixar has always been known for combining great animation with
wonderful stories to tell a heartfelt tale. And the journey had begun
with the adorable "Toy Story" about 15 years back. The third part of
the story about a bunch of toys led by Woody, the cowboy doll and
action figure and space hero Buzz Light- year takes off where the first
two left off. Andy, the boy who imaginatively plays with the toys has
grown up and is heading to college. Naturally, the toys are getting no
playtime and are dreading the possibility of being donated to a
playschool. Thanks to mix up when Andy's bags are being packed the
toys are left at Sunny-side day care center where Woody tries to
convince them to return because he believes Andy still loves them. But
excited at the prospect of being played with again and receiving some
friendly advice and support from Lotso, a bear at the day care center
they decide to stay on. but soon they discover that Lotso is not all
good as he seems while Woody searches desperately for a way to rescue
them. All the signature elements from Pixar are there - the humor, the
lovely emotion and attachment and of course, eye-catching animation.
the combination of these things is what makes Toy Story 3 an instant
classic. the characters, from the earnest and well meaning woody to
the flashy Buzz, along with the ensemble of toys - Mr. potato head,
slinky, Rex strut their stuff with the usual panache. and the
introduction of Ken (voiced hilariously by Michael Keaton, an inspired
choice) and the gang of new characters at the day care only adds
colour to the fantasy canvas that Pixar has so meticulously created.
Toy Story 3 is that rare third part of a trilogy that provides a sense
of closure. And like all Pixar movies, it connects with children and
adults alike on universal themes like friendship.
